HOW DO I START WORKING WITH A PERSONAL TRAINER?
We start with a free half-hour consultation. We discuss your short term and long term fitness goals and any limitations you might have (e.g. bad back, bad knees).
We talk about the time you have to reach those goals and then I propose an exercise program for you that will maximize your results for the time you have to exercise.
I offer in-home personal training to clients in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Gaithersburg, Kensington, Northwest DC, Olney, Potomac, Rockville, Silver Spring and Takoma Park.
Below are the answers to the most commonly asked questions I receive.
WHAT DOES A PERSONAL TRAINER DO?
I design an exercise program specifically for you. Your program will be based on the time you have to exercise and any limitations you might have.
I will start you at the level of fitness that you are right now. Even if you have never exercised, I'll get you started at an easy and comfortable pace.
You are an integral part of this process. We design your program together so your exercise fits into your lifestyle, is enjoyable, and you achieve the results you want!
The reason to hire me is that I will maximize your results with the time you have to devote to exercise. You are also a part of this process. I am not giving you a program that everyone else has -- together we design a program that will work for you!
HOW FIT DO I HAVE TO BE TO START WORKING WITH YOU?
I will start you at whatever level you are at. Even if you consider yourself a beginner, we can get you started at a comfortable pace.
ARE YOU A CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER?
I have been certified by ACE, the American Council of Exercise. I am also certified as a Post-Rehab Fitness Specialist. I have over twenty years of experience as a certified personal trainer.
My Post-Rehab certification allows me to help you straight out of physical therapy! If you had surgery or an injury that required physical therapy, I can help you with your exercises once your physical therapy is over.
WHAT TYPE OF TIME COMMITMENT DO YOU REQUIRE?
I will base your program on the time you can manage every week. How often you see me is up to your needs and your schedule. I offer discounts on multiple sessions. Buy 5 sessions and get a 5% discount; purchase 10 sessions and receive a 10% discount.
DO YOU GIVE ME A FITNESS EVALUATION?
Your fitness evaluation is based on your health history form and our discussion.

Five 30 minute sessions at my gym - $357
Five 45 minute sessions at your home -- $665
Ten 60 minute sessions at your home - $1,450
Ten 60 minute sessions at my gym - $1035
Jump start -- Three 45 minute sessions at my gym - $285
1 hour session with a partner at my gym - $65 per person
3 or more people for 60 minutes of group training in my gym -- $45 per person
